In Materials Management at Main Campus Lee Building
Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, 40 hour.
Responsibilities
Control the creation of and communication of Capital purchase orders for requested supplies and equipment, at the best attainable price, and within the requested timeframe. Chair the Equipment Request Committee. Maintain the purchase and maintenance of the Children’s of Alabama owed Fleet. Back up the Purchasing Manager.
Perform other task necessary to the effective and efficient operation of the Materials Management Department.
Ability to analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
Ability to exercise considerable judgement and discretion in purchasing items.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
Industry and subject matter expertise.
Experience
5 or more years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain is preferred.
Experience in the healthcare industry is highly beneficial.
Education
BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or health-related field is preferred.
Three to five years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of a college degree.
Credentials
CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional) is preferred.

Bachelors of Science or Arts in Business or 3 Years Staff Level

Materials Management/Purchasing is responsible for procuring medical supplies, equipment, and services needed to deliver patient care.
