Girl Scouts of Western Ohio is seeking a Director of Regional Services to join our Senior Leadership Team. The Director of Regional Services leads and inspires the delivery of the Girl Scout experience across their assigned region, ensuring every girl, volunteer, and staff member feels supported and connected to the mission. In this role, you’ll oversee operations for the Central Region which includes both the Dayton and Lima Girl Scout Centers, guiding staff, managing facilities, and supporting a dedicated team of service delivery managers and their teams.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will drive regional recruitment and retention strategies, strengthen community partnerships, and champion high‑quality experiences that bring the power of Girl Scouting to life. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on building strong teams, elevating service, and making a visible impact in the community. The ideal candidate must have previous experience managing teams and serving as direct manager for employees, experience in community development, recruitment or volunteer management and is comfortable serving a region with dual locations. Regular travel and onsite leadership to both Dayton and Lima, Ohio is required.
Essential Functions
Drive membership growth, implementing regional recruitment and renewal campaigns, including troop and staff led initiatives, to ensure Girl Scouts is representative of girls and adults in every community and our efforts align with council membership goals.
Drive the member experience to support retention, including oversight of regional troop support, service unit support and an outreach engagement plan, using internal and external data to guide decision making.
Provide leadership, training, and effective management of the region’s recruitment and volunteer experience teams, including direct leadership to managers and indirect leadership to team members. Responsible for effective performance management of staff including training, goal setting and accountability.
Provide leadership, support, and direction to regional volunteers and staff to ensure the execution of the council’s plan of work to ensure the Girl Scout Leadership Experience is delivered consistently across the region through the ongoing support of staff and volunteers.
Lead the development of community partnerships to increase Girl Scouts visibility, influence, and opportunities in the region and acting as an advocate and spokesperson for Girl Scouts within the region.
Actively participate in council-wide strategies as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Position Details This is a full-time, exempt position. The days of work are primarily Monday through Friday, but evening work is frequent and occasional weekend work may be required. Hours of work will vary, depending on support required by service units and time of year. Work schedules are flexible but will be approximately 40-45 hours/week depending on season.
Travel Travel will be expected on a regular basis to support the Central regions. Leader is expected to have regular presence in both Dayton, OH and Lima, OH on a frequent basis to support staff and volunteers in both locations. Business related travel is eligible for mileage reimbursement.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position serves as direct manager and leader for a team of Service Delivery Managers and their Recruitment and/or Volunteer Experience Specialist level staff in both Lima and Dayton, Ohio.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Experience managing a team as direct manager.
Experience recruiting and managing volunteers.
Experience in recruitment and/or sales preferred.
Experience in community outreach or development including school partnerships.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Compensation & Benefits This full-time, exempt position is compensated at
$68,000/year
and offers a generous health and wellbeing benefits package. This position is eligible for teleworking and may work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and up to 2 days per week from home, after successful completion of a 90 day in-person onboarding and training period.
