This position will report to the Director of Instructional Innovation and Implementation.## Responsibilities* Applies standard evaluation procedures to analyze data and monitor, evaluate, and document course, student, and Instructor outcomes through recurring issue tracking and reporting. Utilizes data to apply principles of continuous improvement to course improvement, instructor experience, student learning, and special projects.* Ensures the development of a facilitated network of OnRamps Instructors through leadership of course staff and implementation coordinators to provide intervention, system-level support, or just-in-time support via online, telephone, and in-person communication and leads virtual conferences. Develops innovative strategies to promote online and in-person community of learning and knowledge exchange.* Leads ongoing implementation and facilitation of the OnRamps Professional Learning year-long cycle across multiple courses with the goal of providing instructors data driven sessions designed to increase student success. Identifies areas for continuous improvement and leads course staff in the implementation of coaching and instructor support strategies that meet needs across courses.* Leads OnRamps course staff to successfully support OnRamps Instructors in implementing courses with fidelity along the OnRamps Four Pillars. Provides guidance and coaching, allocates and oversees work, manages work schedules, and promotes and supports employee development using proven methods. Works with course staff to develop and implement interventions as needed. Designs and uses data-driven approaches to ensure ongoing staff growth and program improvements.* Utilizes adult learning and cognitive learning science theories to contribute to and assist with the course development, redevelopment, or enhancement opportunities of science courses to increase success of Instructor implementation and overall student success. Supports the process through coordination of resources and direct content development and review.* Leads projects that impact OnRamps as an organizational unit that require development, management, and coordination across multiple teams within the organization, across departments, and other units at the university.## Required Qualifications* Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, science education or closely related field.* Experience leading teams to meet goals and strategic outcomes.* Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders with decorum and tact.* Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach.* Demonstrated understanding of high school teaching and learning.* Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another LMS.* Demonstrated ability to teach oneself new things, develop mastery, and adjust to rapidly changing needs with an organization.* Five years of clinical or teaching experience at a high school or college level.* Experience providing support or instructional coaching to teachers or related groups.*Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.*## Preferred Qualifications* Master's or Doctoral degree in Chemistry, Biology, science education or closely related field.* Experience developing curriculum, preferably for online delivery.* Experience developing and maintaining online professional learning communities for students and/or teachers.* Eight or more years teaching experience in science or closely related content area at a college or high school level.* Eligibility to serve as Instructor of Record according to The University of Texas at Austin departmental requirements.## Salary Range$100,000 + depending on qualifications## Working Conditions* This position requires travel throughout the state of Texas as well as ongoing weekend and evening work to support instructors and course implementation, including during summer, spring, and fall professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines.* May be required to work evening and weekends during critical times.* Hybrid work environment* May work around standard office conditions.* Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.* Climbing of stairs.## Required Materials*Please mark "yes" on the application question that asks if additional materials are required.
