, MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo) , will aid in managing over $25B for MIT's endowment, retirement plan, and other capital pools to deliver outstanding long term returns that advance MIT's research and education by sourcing and screening opportunities; writing memos; leading or co‑leading due diligence; assessing risk/reward; maintaining global manager relationships; partnering with Operations, Legal, and Data teams on terms, risk, and sizing; travel as needed to meet managers, attend annual general meetings, and evaluating execution firsthand. Global Investment Staff (GIS) invests primarily through partnerships with external managers across public and private markets—long equity, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and natural resources. With permanent capital and a long time horizon, GIS applies patient, analytical decision making, builds durable relationships, and pursues opportunities— including less proven strategies—where aligned ownership and rigorous underwriting create value. GIS operates a flat, generalist model: each team member contributes research, serves on the internal investment committee, and is empowered to lead from day one with mentorship and collaborative accountability.
