Creative Resource Associates (CRA) is seeking a seasoned Senior Interior Design Project Architect to lead and elevate our Interior Design Production department . This role is ideal for a motivated design professional who excels at translating strong conceptual narratives into refined, buildable interiors and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving studio environment.
This is a leadership position with real influence—shaping how design ideas become architectural reality across hospitality, experiential, multifamily, and branded interior projects. The successful candidate will work closely with CRA Principals, Design Directors, and Senior Designers while mentoring production staff and guiding projects from concept through completion.
What You Will Do
Lead the interior architectural production of projects from Concept through Construction Administration Translate design intent, narratives, and concepts into clear, coordinated, and executable drawing sets Oversee and manage space planning , interior architecture, and documentation for large-scale hospitality and commercial interiors Guide and mentor internal production staff and coordinate with outsourced drafting teams Collaborate closely with designers, FF&E teams, consultants, and clients to ensure design integrity Maintain quality control across all deliverables, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and consistency Coordinate interdisciplinary workflows with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors Support construction administration including submittals, RFIs, ASIs, and site coordination Help advance CRA’s production standards, workflows, and use of emerging technologies (including AI tools) Contribute to a culture of design excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement What We’re Looking For
10+ years of professional experience in interior architecture and hospitality design (strongly desired) Strong background in hospitality, experiential, and large commercial interiors Proven ability to lead interior architectural production from concept through execution Exceptional attention to detail and technical rigor Ability to convert design ideas into clear architectural systems and documentation Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial studio environment A “do what it takes” mindset with a desire to grow personally and help grow the firm Technical & Design Skills
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience strongly preferred) Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, detailing, and materials Experience coordinating outsourced production teams Ability to space-plan complex interiors at scale Hand sketching and drawing skills a plus Familiarity with FF&E coordination and integration into architectural documents Interest in leveraging new tools and technologies, including AI, to improve workflows Education & Credentials
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program Professional licensure is a plus but not required Why CRA

Competitive salary commensurate with experience Estimated range: $110,000 – $150,000 , plus benefits
