Overview
Senior Business Manager - GenAI Management Strategy Summary: As a Senior Manager, Business Analysis at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to develop frameworks for managing Generative AI and Model risk as we expand the company’s use of LLMs and Agentic AI systems. You will lead and team with world-class professionals to develop, test, and execute risk management practices that impact the bottom line in a collaborative environment that values insight, growth, and innovation.
Responsibilities Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory behavior.
Business ownership: Maintain an ownership mindset with potential P&L accountability for a business segment. Strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizon.
Leadership: May manage and develop a team of analysts. Coach and mentor associates to develop and retain talent.
Coding Curious: Understand how AI and Agentic systems components work together in an orchestrated way.
Execution: Coordinate across lines of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build requirements, and execute against product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
Partnership: Collaborate with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and others to drive improvements in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
Strategic & analytical orientation: Strong decision-making and problem-solving based on analytics, with a quantitative orientation in marketing and credit risk management.
Leadership and integrity: Tenacious decision maker with a responsible, bold approach to business.
People leadership: Build and leverage a high-performing team and business partners, fostering innovation and delivering results.
Executive communication: Impeccable written and oral skills, with strategic influencing and negotiation.
Results orientation: Focus on achieving short and long-term goals in a dynamic environment.
Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings; consulting experience is a plus.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).
At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis.
At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis.
At least 1 year of people management experience.
At least 1 year of project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering).
5+ years of quantitative analysis experience.
5+ years of qualitative analysis experience.
2+ years of people management experience.
2+ years of product development experience.
2+ years of financial modeling experience.
2+ years of economic forecasting experience.
2+ years of project management experience.

Salary information : The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries are for candidates hired to work within specified locations. Part-time salaries prorated. Locations include:
Chicago, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Business Manager
McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Business Manager
Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Business Manager
Riverwoods, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Business Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location, and the actual salary offered will be reflected in the offer letter. This role is eligible for performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
