Nonprofit Administration & Donor Relations Manager
to support the systems and relationships that power our mission—bringing joy and laughter to children in hospitals through bedside magic. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys administration, follow-through, and relationship-based work, and who wants their efforts to directly support meaningful impact. About Open Heart Magic
Open Heart Magic—soon to be known as
Bring Magic to Kids in Hospitals —brings moments of joy, laughter, and human connection to children in hospitals through bedside magic performances. Trained volunteer specialists work to transform scared, stressed patients into laughing kids again, bringing kids and their families relief during difficult hospital stays. Demand for our program continues to grow. Hospitals are asking for our Bedside Magic program, and our next chapter—to
Bring Magic —is about building the resources and volunteer pipeline needed to reach every child waiting for us. The Role
This is a behind-the-scenes, high-impact role supporting administration, donor relations, program coordination, and events. This role spans multiple areas of the organization, but the work is structured and naturally cyclical. Focus shifts throughout the year based on fundraising cycles, program needs, and special events—allowing time to concentrate on specific priorities rather than everything at once. Key Responsibilities
Manage administrative systems supporting fundraising, hospital programs, and volunteer engagement Track recurring tasks and one-time projects through completion Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and reporting Support donor outreach and stewardship Engage donors by phone and email with professionalism and warmth Coordinate donor meetings and follow-ups with organizational leadership Mission operations to support community and hospital impact Assist with fundraising and volunteer events Qualifications
Experience in administration, coordination, donor support, or project management Strong organizational and follow-through skills Comfort communicating with donors and stakeholders Experience with spreadsheets and basic reporting Ability to learn CRM and management systems Clear written and verbal communication skills No degree required. Relevant experience, professionalism, and work ethic matter most.
