Overview
Graphic Designer III / Reporting Manager – Terminal 5 Renovation and Reconstruction Project. The Graphic Designer III / Reporting Manager is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and producing the full spectrum of construction communications and reporting materials that support delivery and compliance for the Terminal 5 Renovation and Reconstruction Project. The Terminal 5 project includes full demolition and reconstruction of the Terminal 5 headhouse and concourse, along with multiple enabling scopes required to vacate the existing facility. This role integrates visual communications, document production, and construction reporting to improve transparency, compliance, and stakeholder understanding of project scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and operational impacts. The Reporting Manager works closely with Project Managers, Office Engineers, Field Engineers, Construction Managers, Project Controls, Community Relations, and Regulatory and Compliance teams to ensure all materials are accurate, timely, and compliant with LAWA branding, accessibility, and records management standards. All materials are distributed through approved program channels. Key Identifiers for the Position

Program Communications and Design
Plan, design, and produce ads, notices, posters, pamphlets, displays, signage, exhibits, and web content for informational, educational, public outreach, and regulatory purposes Design and layout brochures, report covers, infographics, and slide decks for technical and administrative reports and presentations Develop exhibit boards and presentation materials for executive briefings, stakeholder meetings, public hearings, and community outreach events Reporting and Data Visualization
Translate schedule, cost, risk, safety, and quality data into charts, graphs, dashboards, and projection slides for executive briefings and public display Maintain standardized visual templates and style guides for monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting Partner with Project Controls to ensure KPI accuracy and alignment between narrative reporting and visual outputs Document Production and Records Management
Coordinate compilation, editing, and final production of reports including Monthly Construction Reports, Board or Commission packages, progress bulletins, and traffic advisories Ensure compliance with LAWA branding standards, ADA and Section 508 accessibility requirements, and records retention policies Manage version control and archive final deliverables within the PMIS (such as PMWeb) and shared document repositories Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Managers, Office Engineers, Field staff, Construction Managers, Safety and Quality teams, Environmental staff, Community Relations, and Regulatory and Compliance teams Support meeting logistics by preparing agendas, exhibits, and handouts and tracking action items related to communications deliverables Other Duties as Assigned
Assist with photography and videography coordination and basic asset management as required Software and Technical Skills
Design and Visualization Tools Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Adobe Acrobat Pro Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent dashboarding tools Microsoft Visio Office and Presentation Tools Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Strong experience with template development and advanced document formatting Project Management and Records Systems PMWeb preferred, or similar Project Management Information System for version control and document distribution Professional Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of
15 years of experience
preparing graphic displays, descriptive charts, brochures, maps, or similar materials for commercial or public use Experience in AEC communications, construction reporting, or technical publications, preferably supporting complex, phased programs in active facilities Airport project experience preferred Portfolio demonstrating report design, infographics, data visualization, signage, and exhibit materials for both technical audiences and the general public Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to edit technical content for clarity and audience appropriateness Self-starter with a proactive, results-oriented approach and willingness to take on additional responsibilities Ability to interface effectively with individuals across a wide range of technical expertise and educational backgrounds Highly detail-oriented and well organized Education
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, or a related field preferred
