Alex Simon Job Summary / Responsibilities

The Digital & Creative Strategist is responsible for developing, designing, and optimizing digital experiences, creative assets, photography, and videography that enhance EKU’s student recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts. As a key member of the Digital Engagement & Creative team, this role leads digital storytelling, branding, UX design for CRM-based communications, and creative asset production across EKU’s marketing channels. This position ensures that all digital marketing efforts—including photography, videography, motion graphics, digital ads, social media content, email design, and landing pages—are visually compelling, user-friendly, and optimized for engagement and conversion. This position ensures that all content aligns with EKU’s brand, strategic priorities, and audience engagement goals, effectively communicating EKU’s value proposition to prospective students, families, counselors, and community partners. Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Photography, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience:

Minimum two years of experience in photography, videography, digital design, UX design, or creative content development. Experience with Technolutions Slate or similar CRM platforms preferred. Strong background in digital storytelling, video editing, and creative asset production. Licensure & Certifications: Preferred Qualifications

Job Duties

40% - Develops short-form video content, motion graphics, and interactive media for social media, digital advertising, CRM-driven campaigns, and recruitment events. Collaborates with the Communications & Content team to integrate multimedia storytelling into EKU’s marketing strategy. Manages post-production, including video editing, color correction, and audio mixing, ensuring high-quality content output. - (Essential) 30% - Designs and develops digital marketing materials, including social media graphics, paid ad creatives, email templates, and event branding assets. Ensures brand consistency and accessibility across all digital platforms, aligning with EKU’s visual identity and student recruitment goals. Works closely with the Marketing Strategy team to develop high-impact visual content for targeted student engagement campaigns. - (Essential) 20% - Develops and optimizes email templates, landing pages, and event pages within Technolutions Slate, ensuring user-friendly, accessible, and conversion-focused designs. Implements A/B testing and data-driven refinements to enhance engagement and maximize impact. Works with the Marketing & Engagement Analyst to analyze user behavior and optimize digital experiences accordingly. - (Essential) 10% - Serves as a creative partner to the Digital Engagement & Creative team, ensuring that digital assets, photography, and video content align with enrollment marketing objectives. Works closely with the Marketing Strategy team to ensure visual assets are optimized for specific audience segments and platforms. Collaborates with the university’s central web team to ensure digital assets support EKU’s broader web strategy while remaining focused on student recruitment and engagement. - (Essential) Sponsorship:
