Position Summary:

Under general direction, the Marketing Designer is responsible for creating visually compelling, on-brand design assets that support Westmark’s marketing, digital, and member-facing initiatives. This role blends strong traditional graphic design skills with digital-first execution, supporting a wide range of channels including web, social media, digital banking, email, and internal communications. The Marketing Designer will work closely with Marketing, Digital, and other internal partners to design, adapt, and optimize visual content across platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where assets must be resized, reformatted, and refreshed for multiple formats and uses.

Responsibilities:

Design & Creative Execution

Design and produce high-quality visual assets for digital and print use, including marketing campaigns, social media, web content, digital banking visuals, email, and internal materials.

Manipulate, resize, and redesign images to fit multiple platforms, formats, and aspect ratios while maintaining brand consistency.

Develop creative assets using Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong emphasis on Photoshop; experience with Canva required.

Collaborate with Marketing and Digital teams to ensure designs align with brand standards, messaging, and campaign goals.

Digital, Social & Emerging Media

Create graphics optimized for social media platforms and other digital channels.

Support basic video editing, motion graphics, or animated content as needed; experience in these areas is a plus.

Stay current on digital design trends, social content best practices, and emerging creative tools.

Collaboration & Workflow

Receive and interpret creative briefs; translate concepts into effective visual solutions.

Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Participate in creative reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.

Maintain organized design files and assets for reuse and scalability.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 2–4 years of professional graphic design experience.

Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop; experience with Illustrator and InDesign preferred.

Working knowledge of Canva and the ability to adapt designs within brand guidelines.

Proven ability to resize, reformat, and redesign assets for various digital platforms and aspect ratios.

Strong portfolio demonstrating digital and graphic design capabilities.

Preferred:

Experience with video editing, animation, or motion graphics.

Experience creating social media content for multiple platforms.

Experience working in a regulated industry such as financial services is a plus but not required.

Ability to move around and travel to various locations for workshops and events

Manual Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for tasks such as typing and operating office equipment.

Visual and auditory abilities to understand and communicate with the public.

Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.

Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs., if required for departmental tasks.
