Position The SEO Manager is responsible for developing and executing organic search strategies that drive qualified traffic, improve search visibility, and support revenue growth across Maxwood’s portfolio of brands. This role owns SEO performance end to end, partnering cross-functionally with content, development, merchandising, and analytics teams to ensure best-in-class technical SEO, content optimization, and ongoing performance improvement.
Responsibilities
Own and execute SEO strategy across multiple brand websites, including technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy
Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities across product categories and content initiatives
Partner with content, merchandising, and creative teams to optimize product pages, category pages, and editorial content for search intent
Collaborate with development and engineering teams to improve site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and page performance
Monitor and address technical SEO issues including site speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and indexing errors
Manage SEO tools and platforms to track rankings, traffic, and performance trends
Analyze SEO performance and translate data into actionable recommendations
Stay current on search engine algorithm updates and industry best practices
Support new site launches, migrations, and platform updates with SEO best practices
Create and maintain SEO documentation, standards, and workflows
Qualifications
Demonstrates knowledge of and supports company-wide vision, values, standards, policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, Analytics, or a related field
3–5 years of hands-on SEO experience in an in-house or agency environment
Experience managing SEO for ecommerce websites, preferably multi-brand or multi-site environments
Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content-driven SEO
Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic recommendations
Effective communicator able to collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
