Description As a
Donor Engagement Specialist , you will be tasked with carrying out donor engagement strategies crafted and overseen by the Donor Engagement team leadership. These strategies are essential for strengthening, elevating, and expanding philanthropic support and donor loyalty to Allegiance Group + Pursuant’s non-profit clients. Through a strategic integration of various communication methods and personalized interactions, your key objectives will be to ensure that donors receive suitable and prompt acknowledgement for their donations, are continually involved and inspired to give further, and that enduring connections are forged between them and our non-profit clients. These strong ties are vital for fostering ongoing engagement and sustained support for important causes.
The Donor Engagement Specialist fulfills a critical role in deepening the connection a donor feels towards our non-profit clients. Reporting to the Sr. Client Success Manager and operating under the strategic direction of the VP of Donor Engagement, you will manage a portfolio of mid-level donors. You will function as a natural extension of the non-profit itself, with your focus being on cultivating strong relationships and improving the donor experience. This entails actively gathering detailed information about each donor's specific giving interests, their reasons for donating, their communication preferences, and relevant personal details, enabling more tailored and impactful engagement.
This is a contract role with flexible hours, ranging from 20-28 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Engage 700-1,200 Mid-Level donors via multi-channel outreach (email, phone, mail).
Execute stewardship and cultivation strategies that will retain and grow donor support.
Resolve or escalate donor requests and questions to your manager.
Meet donor request SLAs and complete weekly stewardship/cultivation tasks in a timely fashion.
Have a deep understanding about the nonprofit’s mission, history and programs. Resources will be provided to you along with ongoing updates.
Document your donor interactions.
Join client calls as needed.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong work ethic and desire to provide high-level customer service to the donors of our nonprofit clients.
Knowledge of fundraising and the nonprofit sector.
Experience working within Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Experience within the telemarketing, fundraising, sales, or customer services environment or equivalent volunteer experience desired.
Non-profit professional or volunteer experience preferred.
