Sr. Manager of Branches and Small Business Banking
Salal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Branches & Small Business Banking to lead our branch network with a strong emphasis on small business growth, sales performance, and community impact. In this role, you will be responsible for driving branch performance, expanding small business relationships, and ensuring an exceptional member and employee experience across our Retail network. You’ll partner closely with Retail leadership and cross‑functional teams to meet financial goals, manage risk, and foster a high‑performance culture rooted in accountability, compliance, and service excellence. You will also provide strategic leadership for Business Development, ensuring alignment between branch execution, community engagement, and external growth initiatives. This hybrid role requires regular onsite engagement , including visits to all branch locations (Northgate, First Hill, Bellevue, Tukwila) at least twice per month and one weekly onsite day at our Northgate headquarters. Major duties of this role will include: Lead overall branch network performance, ensuring consistent sales, service delivery, and member experience. Drive Small Business Banking growth by leading strategy, setting goals, and ensuring strong branch execution. Analyze performance, risks, and member feedback to identify trends and implement strategies that improve outcomes. Deliver coaching and development for branch leaders, strengthening sales capability, accountability, and leadership effectiveness. Foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture aligned with organizational values, compliance, and service standards. Oversee Community Outreach strategy and execution, ensuring branches meet outreach goals and strengthen local impact. Provide leadership for Business Development, ensuring alignment between external partnerships, branch priorities, and growth objectives. Enhance collaboration between Branch, Small Business, and Business Development teams to improve referrals, conversion, and member acquisition. Manage financial and operational responsibilities, including budgets, planning, vendor relationships, and compliance. Represent the credit union in the community, building relationships that support business growth and reinforce Salal’s presence. Qualifications of an ideal candidate: 8 years of experience in retail banking 5 years of team leadership experience 5 years of experience in direct sales and service Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of retail and small business banking, consumer sales, and project leadership Excellent communication and presentation skills The target salary rate that is likely to be offered to the selected candidate is between $131,500 – $148,500 per year. The total salary range for this role is $119,656.39 – $167,518.94 per year.
