With 700+ completed projects and roughly 70 projects per year (including six basement finishes a month), we deliver top-tier craftsmanship with calm, organized execution. Our small, tight-knit team runs on checklists, SOPs, and clear communication, so great carpenters can focus on what they do best: building beautiful work, the right way, the first time.
We\'re hiring an experienced
Trim Carpenter
to handle high-finish interiors across basements, kitchens, baths, additions, and whole-home remodels. You\'ll own the details, from casing and crown to built-ins and stair components, while collaborating with PMs, subs, and the field team to keep quality, schedule, and client experience on point.
Key Responsibilities
Execute high-finish trim work: doors, casing, base, crown, wainscoting, stair trim, railings, and custom built-ins
Set, scribe, and install cabinetry, panels, and millwork to exacting tolerances
Read plans, elevations, and details; confirm site conditions and layout before installation
Coordinate with PMs/subs on sequencing, access, deliveries, and punch items
Protect client homes; maintain clean, safe, organized work areas every day
Track materials, create accurate cut lists, and minimize rework/scrap
Document progress (photos/notes) and flag issues early with solutions
Qualifications
5 or more years of professional trim/finish carpentry (high-end residential preferred)
Broad skill set: stair parts, built-ins, fine scribing, cabinet installs, miter/coped joints
Own a full set of professional hand & battery-powered tools; ability to safely use larger shop/jobsite tools
Able to read drawings, take precise measurements, and deliver tight, consistent finishes
Reliability, professionalism, and client-facing communication skills
Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation to KC-metro job sites (no relocation for this role)
Compensation & Benefits
Full-time, steady pipeline of work (year-round), W-2.
Pay: $30/hr to start + performance bonuses (based on experience for top-tier craft)
