Outside Sales Parts & Service Representative

Stewart & Stevenson Power Products is now hiring an Outside Sales Parts & Service Representative. This position is responsible for selling parts and services for the on highway trucking, fleet delivery, construction, mining, oil, and gas well services, emergency services, and industrial machinery industries in an assigned territory to achieve maximum sales profitability and growth. Territory area will be the Denver, CO and Commerce City, CO. Responsibilities

The responsibilities include: Generating new customer accounts as well as servicing and maintaining existing accounts. Achieving sales goals and forecasts. Assisting in marketing and sale of new products and/or prototypes. Reviewing completed jobs for variations in component costing. Interface with other departments to oversee project development and ensure timely delivery of finished products. Monitoring sales orders to ensure project costs, materials lists, and delivery schedules meet project specifications and deadlines. Computing installation or production costs and preparing and submitting bid specifications to existing and potential customers for review. Negotiating proposals and sales and service contracts with customers. Establishing, maintaining, and developing business, social, and networking relationships with individuals within the petroleum industry. Planning and organizing sales strategy. Expediting the resolution of customer problems, issues, or complaints. Ensuring strong, effective market share of the products and services by providing direction and information on the products and related services. Attending sales and trade meetings and reading related publications to obtain current market condition information, business trends, and industry developments. Demonstrating and explaining use of installed equipment and production processes. Arranging for installation and test-operation of machinery and recommending solutions to product-related problems. Evaluating sales performance results. Providing management oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, market situation, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services. Conducting all business transactions in an ethical manner. Qualifications

The qualifications include: Strong customer service & sales skills. Valid driver's license and MVR in good standing. Sales or a related subject, or acceptable sales related work experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Proven outside sales experience (preferably in diesel parts & service sales). Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or sales reporting software experience is a plus. Heavy Construction Equipment or Industry knowledge (rental or construction) with experience in B2B in sales preferred, but not required. Technical aptitude to adapt to the fast pace of a growing company and stay continuously educated on the latest products and services. Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word. Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely. Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards. Ability to focus on a goal and obtain a pre-determined result. Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace. Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals. Ability to effectively present information publicly. Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers. The trait of being dependable and trustworthy. Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one's ability using his or her own drive or initiative. Ability to convince a group of people to work toward a goal. Education/Experience: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and two to seven years related experience. Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Prior experience with Oracle preferred. Other Requirements: Ability to build strong presentations for customers and present them in a clear and concise manner. Must follow company pricing guidelines and procedures. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the position, location, and/or customer. Physical Activities & Requirements: Standard Office Criteria Working Conditions: Office environment, on-site at customer's place of business, and occasional shop/manufacturing environment exposure. Salary is $44,200.00 plus 8% commission on gross profit for parts and service, this position will also include $650.00 car allowance. As part of your sales role, you are eligible to participate in the On Highway Sales Commission Plan. You will placed on a commission guarantee for 6 months and each month you will receive a guaranteed commission of $2,500. If in any month, you exceed the guarantee in payable commission, you will receive your commission amount. Should your commission for a given month be less than the guarantee, you will still receive the guarantee amount for that month.
