We are a local family business that has been operating in the islands for 40 years and employs about 160 employees. The Art Source, Inc. is the parent company to our three sister companies - Pictures Plus, Plus Interiors & CocoNene. Our core competency as a business is local manufacturing of customizable products for the home: artwork, interior furniture & home decor. We make all the products in our factory on the west side of Oahu in Kapolei and we sell to our customers through our various retail locations on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. We measure our success as an organization by our average hourly wage. We are currently hiring for our CocoNene brand. We sell island lifestyle home decor and personalized gifts and souvenirs. We are looking for a part-time positive, driven, up-beat sales associate to be a brand ambassador to all things Aloha for our resort store in Ko'olina. This means providing unmatched customer service, selling our fun, unique and Hawaii-made decor & souvenirs straight from the local artists and designers we partner with, all while imparting our own unique Hawaii stories with clients. We are paying $18-22/h (this includes base pay plus commissions). Part-time employees qualify for an employee discount of 25% across all sister companies. This position comes with opportunity for career growth and it's an employee-run business, so the value and profits that gets created goes back into our business and employees! Day-to-day responsibilities: Assist guests with their shopping experience by providing outstanding customer service skills Participate in the daily store up-keep, organizing, and cleaning Checking in new shipments, restocking products, and transferring of goods in and out of the store Cash handling Operating point of sale system Preparing bank cash deposits Other sales duties Here is what we are looking for in candidates: Customer service experience; guest first mindset Cash handling experience Knowledgeable on Microsoft Office applications preferred Strong communication Comfortable working under pressure 1+ year retail experience preferred High school graduate or equivalent Status and Schedule: Availability during our opening hours, 9a-8p, to cover opening, overlap, and closing shifts.
