The Position Our community bank client is seeking a Personal Banker in Oak Brook, IL. The successful candidate will handle customer service functions while maintaining positive relationships with coworkers and clients.
The role offers a salary up to $65K, plus incentives and excellent benefits.
Responsibilities
Manage customer bank accounts: open, close, and oversee transactions
Resolve issues related to banking services and accounts
Answer customer inquiries via phone regarding deposit and basic loan questions
Perform account maintenance for clients changing banking products
Follow bank operating procedures
Complete reporting tasks as assigned by supervisor
Escalate issues to supervisor when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction

Desired skills and experience include:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least two years of customer service experience or similar roles
Experience in loan sales, application processing, and loan closing at a financial institution
Ability to interpret credit bureau reports, coordinate loan stipulations, schedule closings, and process loan documents
Proven success in selling ancillary insurance products
Strong relationship-building skills within a banking environment, demonstrated through integrity, dedication, and strategic advice
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly
