Sr Director Accreditation and Reg Affair Under the direction of the Sr VP, Chief Nursing Officer, the Senior Director of Accreditation & Regulatory Affairs is responsible for leading and managing all activities related to maintaining organizational accreditation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices, driving continuous improvement in patient satisfaction, and overseeing the employee health and disaster management functions. This role plays a critical part in supporting the organization's reputation for clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness. Duties also include data collection, analysis, and reporting in preparation for licensing surveys or site visits. In addition, the Director will oversee the service excellence program and will manage all patient experience programming and evidence-based education materials.

Annual Salary Range: $143,915.20 - $212,284.80

Qualifications Education

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Management, Health Care Administration or related field

or

an equivalent combination of training and progressive responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform assigned tasks.

A master’s degree is preferred.

Experience

Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare accreditation, certification, quality, risk management, or patient safety, and must demonstrate a strong understanding of the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Requires prior direct or indirect supervisory/management experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external agencies

Previous accreditation readiness experience preferred.

Experience with project management systems/leadership experience preferred.

Specialized Training

Must complete ongoing training through DNV ISO to ensure competency as an internal auditor for the organization.

Certification/Licensure

Requires certification in quality improvement and/or Infection Control and Prevention

or

obtain within 1 year of hire (e.g. CPHQ, CHCQM).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requires knowledge of State and Federal quality/regulatory related regulations for healthcare.

Prefer hands-on experience and knowledge of MIDAS and other database software.

Requires knowledge of EMR system and data reporting needs to meet regulatory requirements.

Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.

Must be approachable, people oriented, and a good listener.

Must be a change agent able to develop, implement and maintain policies and processes.

Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker.

Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm, combined with the ability to build relationships with business and key stakeholders.

Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control and coordinate activities.

Requires strong computer skills including typing skills and use of Microsoft applications.

Must provide effective communication (verbal, written, and electronic) to all levels of the organization on risk management activities, education, legal claims, regulatory compliance, etc.

Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
