Senior Director, User Experience

Responsibilities Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Duties include: translating the product strategy to design vision; elevating design thought leadership in the organization; overseeing a broad portfolio of work and managing cross‑functional teams to carry out projects; building and distilling the broad experience design vision and principles into design opportunities and strategies to solve; leading teams in translating abstract concepts and problems into simple, elegant, and innovative designs expressed in sketches, diagrams, and rapid prototypes for responsive, mobile, and conversational channels; providing design recommendations based on technical feasibility, usability findings, A11y, legal and design best practices; leveraging best‑practice design principles and trends to contribute insights and stellar user experiences; being a trusted design partner in a cross‑functional team (designers, engineers, product, researchers, etc.); delivering projects on time and to the highest quality; and collaborating and contributing reusable design components in partnership with the Design System team. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.
Qualifications Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Human Centered Design, Biology, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a technology‑related occupation. Position requires three (3) years of experience in the following:
User Experience & Design (UX/XD)
Information architecture, interaction design, and User Experience (UX) design or graphic design
Implementing and maintaining best practices as it relates to the multiple layers and process of design
Planning and facilitating workshops and/or presenting to key partners and decision makers
Managing, mentoring, or providing direction to other UX designers on a project
UX design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or InVision
Salesforce, Jira, or Aha
Data analysis such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
Rate of Pay $214,053 – $294,210 per year
