Consider and recommend HVP as a premier place to practice/work

Core Initiatives Practice Support Team:

Support practices and drive value with clinical/medical needs and generalized DVM support

Consult on service pricing strategies and practice policies

Guide clinical equipment upgrades and replacement

Provide structure and leadership for each assigned Practice Support Team; facilitate regular and consistent communication between all team members including Practice Leadership

Participate in timely financial planning and analysis reviews supporting Practice Leadership and Finance team members.

Facilitate engagement of practice members and the HVP community

Be a conduit of information between practices and the HVP Practice Support Center/MSO; drive implementation and execution of HVP initiatives at the practice level

Meet annually with Practice Leadership to draft the Practice Alignment Plan; revisit the PAP regularly to assess progress and adjust as needed

Practice Visit Expectations—1-2 times during the first 6 months post-acquisition; 1-2 times quarterly for established practices (or as needed)

Partnering with Integration and Onboarding (of newly acquired practices):

Introduce Support Teams and facilitate transition to HVP operations

Facilitate onsite visits w/Operations and HR; attend one initial onsite visit when possible

Visit new practices in the first 3-6 months (ideally) to check-in and receive feedback

Mentorship and Professional Development

Work in cross-functional partnership with Recruiting & Retention to help identify needs at the practice level surrounding mentorship and development.

Advise and assist with the implementation of Associate and/or Practice Manager Mentoring Plans

Advise and assist with the implementation of employee satisfaction and wellness initiatives

Provide support and guidance for employee performance reviews

DVM Recruiting and Student Relationships

Work closely with Dir. of Recruitment and Retention

Visit w/ Practice Leads about associate DVM vacancies and additions; provide guidance on future-planning and case-load management

Assist with job postings and ATS applications (cross-functional with HR and R&R)

Promote and participate in student engagement activities

Regulatory and Compliance

Collaborate cross-functionally with legal and business operations to provide regulatory guidance specific to the practice of medicine.

Effectively communicate regulatory/compliance risks with respective practices

Establish methods to monitor compliance across the HVP community

Special Projects

Assist where needed on any special projects, ensuring recognition of the following perspectives:

Business Needs of Practice and HVP

Practice Employees

Clinical/Practicing Veterinarian

Nature of Daily Work

The Director of Clinic Operations will report directly to the VP of Clinical Operations.

70% Remote/30% travel (varies based on practice and business needs); Practices to be supported are currently in

north Texas, Missouri and Kansas ; candidates are not REQUIRED to reside in the Amarillo area, however, ease of travel to the practice's served is highly preferred

Engagement in Practice Support Center/MSO functions and team meetings (virtual and in-person)

Prioritized on-site functions: Partner Summit (spring), Practice Support Team Alignment Meeting (summer), Practice Leader’s Summit (fall)

Direct participation in 8-10 Practice Support Teams

Subject to change based on company needs/growth; any changes in practice-support count will be discussed ahead of time in collaboration with the VP of Clinical Operations
