Senior Director, DPS Strategy and Business Planning and Operations The DPS Strategy, Planning & Operations team is essential in driving the strategic focus of DPS, responsible for enhancing the effectiveness of through coordination with Issuing Solutions, North America, VAS, and all cross-functional partners.

Essential Functions

Position Summary

The Senior Director Strategy, Business Planning & Operations (BPO) reports to the SVP, GM DPS and will lead the Strategy and BPO team to support the function by:

Partnering with the SVP, GM DPS and broader DPS leadership team to define overall strategy for DPS

Leading development of Product Strategy and POV on key strategic issues / initiatives

Driving strategic focus for DPS through setting of goals/KPIs and analyzing performance across the function

Ensuring processes, team communications, etc. are planned and delivered in optimal fashion to drive team cohesion and performance

Communicating the vision for DPS to internal and external stakeholders, serve as an evangelist for the group to build enthusiasm for the future

Specific Responsibilities

General:

Serve on the DPS leadership team, providing POV on key issues facing the region/function

Help represent the function in various internal/external forums through presentation preparation and delivery, coordinate efforts with DPS Marketing and Events

Partner with Finance to set annual targets, analyze financial metrics, and prepare for executive review

Coordinate with Issuer Solutions sales to set and manage pipeline, OKRs, and performance updates

Business Strategy:

Assist in defining the overall strategy for DPS

Lead deep dives/projects on pivotal issues, managing resources from across the broader Visa organization where appropriate

Lead financial/analytical efforts within the DPS Strategy & Business Planning function such as business case development for regional high-priority projects to business performance reporting, target setting, investments, etc.

Utilize data and trend analysis to identify new growth opportunities for the DPS

Identify best practices to be used across region on performance tracking, key topics, deals, etc.

Business Planning:

In conjunction with DPS Leadership and other key functions, develop integrated plans and OKRs in support of Visa’s VAS revenue growth targets and strategic objectives, develop effective tracking mechanisms that monitor progress towards these targets and objectives

Support Issuing Solutions, VAS and DPS Monthly and QBR performance reviews and team meetings including analysis of business performance, development of materials, and insights together with country and hub teams

Coordinate with Issuing Solutions, NA, and VAS BPOs to represent the DPS, share/incorporate best practices, and ensure DPS views are given priority

Provide a consolidated point-of-view of DPS priorities, including potential implications for resource allocation and investment (financial and FTE)

Drive effective business planning and operations by promoting broad awareness of DPS past and present financial performance relative to forecast

Coordinate Product Development reviews and alignment for DPS within the Issuing Solutions and VAS Operations teams

Incorporate client and market considerations to provide input to a cohesive DPS product strategy and roadmap

Conduct strategic reviews of specific new product opportunities

Assist with prioritization of roadmap using sound business case development

Coordinate Product roadmap with broader VAS organization, Technology, and Client Services

Assist with additional product support capacities such as Commercialization and Solutions Management

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications

12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience

10+ years of experience with a mix of strategic/business planning, financial analysis and forecasting, strategy and pricing – ideally from within a complex management organization

Knowledge of payments industry, products, services, and technologies with preference for 3+ years in the industry and ideally a baseline understanding of Issuer Processing

Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence both in written and verbal form across functions and leadership levels, including c-suite.

Familiarity with Product Development methodologies and tools

Knowledge of Visa’s business, people and processes and consistent demonstration of Visa Leadership Principles and Culture

Strong management skills appropriate to a fast-paced business environment

Proven ability to build credibility, influence and negotiate across functions and at the highest levels within international/local organizations

Strong attention to detail

Ability to structure and manage complex strategic, analytical, and organizational issues

Able to lead organization through change

Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills

Orientation towards rapid decision-making and actionable recommendations

Exceptional collaboration skills

Work Hours:

Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY:

The estimated salary range for this position is 179,300.00 to 313,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
