We are seeking an experienced Assistant Editor to elevate the UCAN Marketing Creative Services team and contribute to high-quality Creative Post Production. About the Role As an Assistant Editor, you will report to the Sr. Manager of Marketing, Creative Services and play a vital role in creative execution and post-production. You will ensure that project elements are meticulously organized and easily accessible for seamless execution. Before final delivery, you will conduct quality control checks on all masters and versions to confirm adherence to guidelines and specifications. An eye for detail and strong technical skills are essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities: Project Preparation and Media Management:

Manage editorial project setups including media ingest, audio and video syncing, and LUT application. Ensure all media is linked to the correct project and communicate specifications to DIT as required. Editorial Functions:

Curate original footage, integrate Motion Graphics, and adapt final files to various specifications. Assist in editing when necessary and transcribe video or create subtitle files as needed. Quality Control:

Validate technical specifications and ensure all deliverables meet our high-quality standards. Workflow and Tooling Improvements:

Partner with the Creative Producer-Editor and Post Supervisor to enhance technical workflows and maintain expertise in our Media and Digital Asset Management tools. Requirements: 4+ years of Assistant Editor experience in a Creative Agency or Entertainment Studio. Fluency in various video formats, resolutions, frame rates, and codecs. Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects. Experience in media management and organization, along with effective communication skills. Able to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively. Personality Characteristics: Detail-oriented with a collaborative communication style. Our compensation consists of hourly pay without bonuses, allowing you to choose your balance between hourly pay and stock options. The hourly rate for this role ranges from $48.08 to $74.52.
