The Richmonder serves the Richmond, Virginia area by spotlighting the best of the community, and keeping a watchful eye on those in power. We believe in making news that is reflective of the fullness of the city, and is freely accessible to all. Chesterfield County, Virginia has nearly 400,000 people, but no news outlet regularly covers its people or government. The county, which serves as a suburb to Richmond, has grown to be 10% Hispanic, and is grappling with a number of issues, including density and development, data centers, the presence of ICE and housing affordability. It was recently announced that the nation's first nuclear fusion power plant will be built there. Our reporter will talk to residents and tell their stories, so they can be heard by policymakers and other citizens.
