
A well-established heritage apparel manufacturer is seeking a
Technical Designer – Menswear
to fully own the technical development of its men’s category. This company is known for its longstanding craftsmanship, Western-influenced product, and commitment to high-quality construction. The role is highly collaborative within a small, fast-moving team and is ideal for candidates with strong Gerber experience, patternmaking expertise, and a background in menswear or tailored product.
Responsibilities
Own the complete technical design process for menswear from prototype through production
Lead fit sessions independently and deliver accurate, analytical fit comments
Create and maintain tech packs, graded specs, BOM details, and construction standards
Execute 2D patternmaking, pattern revisions, and block development using
Gerber AccuMark
Troubleshoot garment construction, grading, and production issues across legacy and new product categories
Support both innovation and the maintenance of long-standing style blocks
Manage a large volume of SKUs across multiple seasons in a fast-paced environment
Partner closely with Design, Patternmaking, Production, and Sourcing teams
Contribute to development across shirts, bottoms, outerwear, tailored apparel, and Western-inspired product
What They’re Looking For
Advanced proficiency in
Gerber AccuMark
(required)
Strong foundation in patternmaking (flat pattern and draping)
Experience leading fittings and owning menswear fit from proto to production
Background in menswear, suiting, or structured garments strongly preferred
High energy, strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive within a small, hands-on team
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with lifestyle/contemporary aesthetics a plus
Experience with 3D programs (CLO, Browzwear, etc.) is a plus
