YouTube Thumbnail Designer. Fulltime. 100% Remote (East Coast preferred).

Must be based in the USA . Salary: $70-80K, ideally. Industry: Home and Lifestyle.

MUST have a portfolio that reflects heavy YouTube Thumbnail and Social Content Design . Core Focus: YouTube Thumbnail & Social Content Design. This role centers on creating high-performing, on-brand YouTube thumbnails and social content that drive clicks, views, and engagement across multiple platforms. Responsibilities

Design standout, CTR-focused YouTube thumbnails that remain true to the brand. Partner with producers and channel managers to A/B test thumbnails and iterate based on performance data. Create typography, overlays, and graphic elements tailored to episodic series and recurring formats. Maintain episodic and series branding for recognizable, repeatable content. Collaborate with editors to deliver assets in correct specs (including After Effects-ready files). Ensure visual consistency across episodes and series. Design light motion elements (simple animations, typography treatments, transitions, overlays). Extend thumbnail concepts into cohesive visuals for social stories and site assets. Social & Content Design

Design on-brand templates for static posts, stories, reels, and short-form video platforms. Create social content that supports storytelling and engagement. Adapt designs for cross-platform use, optimized for clarity and impact on different screen sizes. Partner with producers and editors on light retouching for social posts. AI-Enhanced & Multi-Platform Design

You’ll experiment with AI tools to rapidly explore thumbnail and social concepts, enhance images, and streamline template production, helping the team iterate quickly without sacrificing brand integrity. Key Skills for Thumbnail & Social Design

Proven portfolio of YouTube thumbnails, social content, and multi-platform digital design. Deep familiarity with YouTube best practices: visual hierarchy, click-through-rate–driven design, trends. Excellent small-screen typography, layout, composition, and color skills. Advanced Photoshop skills for compositing, retouching, cutouts, and realistic thumbnail imagery. Experience with templates and scalable brand systems across YouTube and social channels. Curious, experimental approach to AI tools and emerging content formats. Overall, this is a digital-first design role where success is measured by how well your thumbnails and social visuals attract clicks, keep viewers engaged, and reinforce a cohesive brand presence across platforms.
