MITER Brands™ is a residential window and door manufacturer offering a leading portfolio of brands for the new-construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors, and PGTI, is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country. We are looking for a Credit Associate for our Tacoma, WA office. You will be responsible for extending credit and collecting accounts receivable, including the consistent application of company credit policy, periodic reviews of existing customers, and assessments of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses. Pay Range:
$24.89 - $30.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications Responsibilities
Extending credit within company parameters and credit policy Establishing relations – providing a high level of service to the sales team and other internal customers Releasing orders on-hold Communicating with sales staff and the Credit Manager on issues Preserving goodwill of customers Maintaining records – communication notes and follow-up Contacting customers regarding past due balances Reconcile customer statements/billings Email customer requested invoice copies Determine accounts with potential bad debt to be communicated with the Credit Manager and written off with approval Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in the credit and collections field or related area Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures Knowledge of credit and collection terms and concepts, and basic accounting concepts Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals Positive can-do attitude with a team player mentality Excellent verbal and written communication skills Well organized and pays attention to details Experience with ERP Software preferred (especially Oracle) Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe) What We Offer
