Overview
The Maintenance Account Manager will spearhead the launch and growth of the company\'s new Commercial Maintenance & Enhancement Division, responsible for developing new business, managing client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across all commercial landscape maintenance, enhancement, and snow removal accounts.
This position requires a seasoned professional with 5+ years of commercial landscape account management and sales experience, capable of driving both revenue and quality performance. The Maintenance Account Manager will initially oversee day-to-day field operations and assist with scheduling, hiring, training, and quality control until the division reaches maturity—at which point a dedicated Field Supervisor will be hired and trained under their guidance.
This role blends sales leadership, client management, and operational oversight, directly contributing to the company\'s mission of creating luxury outdoor environments while ensuring year-round functionality and safety.
Responsibilities
Lead the establishment and manage all aspects of the new Commercial Maintenance & Enhancement Division.
Support the Operations Manager and Supervisors in ensuring successful execution of snow services for clients within the Account Manager’s portfolio.
Develop and implement operational systems, pricing strategies, and workflow processes.
Collaborate with Leadership to create growth strategies that meet annual revenue, quality and margin goals.
Support and Champion the recruitment, onboarding, and training of field personnel as the division expands.
Maintain alignment with company Core Values and ensure the company\'s brand is represented with excellence.
Prospect, qualify, and close new commercial maintenance, enhancement, and snow contracts.
Prepare detailed proposals and renewals in a timely manner, ensuring scope and pricing accuracy.
Exceed annual sales goals through proactive pipeline management and relationship building.
Represent the company professionally at client meetings, networking events, and site visits.
Identify and sell enhancement opportunities (including but not limited to: mulch, planting, color rotations, irrigation, turf care, repairs, hardscape, etc.) on existing and prospective accounts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned accounts.
Ensure client satisfaction through regular property inspections, timely communication, and prompt resolution of service issues.
Maintain and manage an annual portfolio valued at $750K+ maintenance, $375K+ enhancements and $500k+ snow.
Oversee contract renewals, invoicing accuracy/promptness, and timely payment follow-up.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, upselling, and client retention.
Assist in scheduling and managing maintenance operations including mowing, pruning, fertilization, seasonal cleanups, and enhancements.
Conduct pre-visit site inspections and provide clear task lists for crews.
Perform post-visit quality checks to ensure company standards are met.
Support crews with material acquisition, organization, and equipment readiness.
Maintain accountability for job cost controls, labor productivity, and safety standards.
Ensure yard, trucks, and trailers are organized, safe, and operational.
Train on, exemplify and reinforce company policies, procedures, and culture of excellence among field staff.
Ensure client expectations are understood by Operations Manager and Field Staff during Snow & Ice Management.
Oversee assigned snow routes and assist Operations Manager with seasonal snow operations.
Coordinate staffing, equipment logistics, and route efficiency during snow events.
Serve as on-call leader during storm operations, including plowing, salting, and de-icing.
Conduct pre and post service site audits to ensure the site safety and contract expectations have been met.
Relay findings to the Operations Manager and manage snow billing, service logs, and client communications throughout the season.
Partner with leadership to build division scorecards, KPIs, and performance reporting.
Assist in marketing initiatives, industry events, client communications, and brand representation.
Continually assess division performance, recommending process and profitability improvements.

Qualifications Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance and account management.
Positive can-do attitude with a strong sense of drive to establish and grow our new Maintenance and Enhancement Divisions.
Proven record of managing $750K+ in annual contract revenue.
Strong understanding of horticulture, seasonal maintenance operations, and snow removal management.
Exceptional communication, organization, and client relationship skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems and industry software (Aspire, Property Intel or equivalent).
Valid driver\'s license with clean record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
Availability for flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Horticulture, Business, or related field.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
Experience with Property Intel, Aspire, Ninety.io, EOS (L10 Meetings)
Strong presentation and negotiation skills with ability to close high-value contracts
