A Scientific Games Sales Account Manager (SAM) represents the New Mexico Lottery and Scientific Games daily in retailer locations throughout the state. Responsibilities include recruiting new lottery retailers, executing the Raise Them Right program at new retail locations, supporting other routes/territories as needed, and supporting lottery promotions as requested. Sales
Drive new retailers to achieve optimal sales targets Conduct business review presentations with manager and Divisional manager level decision makers Establish and maintain rapport with decision makers at each retailer Analyze and utilize data daily to influence retail decision makers on their Lottery needs Promote New Mexico Lottery products upon each retailer visit Create retailer action plans to increase incremental sales at key retailers Grow the New Mexico Lottery Instant game portfolio by increasing Bin count utilizing sales performance data Educate retailers and lottery players on all instant and draw games provided by the lottery Support open territories or routes as assigned Participate and engage in all Scientific Games and New Mexico Lottery sales meetings Merchandising
Conduct promotions at the retailer level, interacting with the retailer and lottery consumer/players Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained for every retailer within the designated route territory Provide each retailer with updated Point of Sale material upon each sales call Ensure all products are in stock and ready to be sold Achieve and maintain the best placement for all Lottery games and Point of Sale material in each retail establishment Maintain plan‑ogram integrity for Instant games placement Adhere to all New Mexico Lottery policies and procedures within each retailer Maintain all proper Lottery information guides in each retailer Ensure all equipment is working correctly upon each retail sales call Document each sales call electronically Retailer Recruitment
Identify potential locations that could sell New Mexico lottery games Meet or exceed all quarterly recruitment targets/goals Present all Lottery products and the benefits of selling Lottery products to potential businesses Execute the entire application process with potential new customers Set up and train new Lottery Retailers Retailer Training
Conduct training with retailer employees on the policies and procedures of the New Mexico Lottery Educate Lottery customers/players while working in retail locations Provide hands‑on training for related retailer equipment Adhere to Raise Them Right – 30/60/90 program General Responsibilities
Maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism in completing all responsibilities while representing both Scientific Games, and the New Mexico Lottery Adhere and uphold all policies set forth by Scientific Games and the Lottery Maintain a safe work environment and a clean driving record Perform annual training requirements All other duties as assigned Qualifications
Required
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record (to be maintained) Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to remain tactful and diplomatic in difficult situations Ability to train others on products and promotions Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and system issues Positive and self‑motivated attitude Ability to work individually and with others as a team Desired
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or related field or equivalent experience of 2 years minimum is preferred Experience with the Lottery operation/industry is preferred Years Of Related Experience
2 to 5 years Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus while working with computer and business equipment. Work Conditions
