Perform account follow-up on outstanding insurance balances and resolve issues as needed
Process daily workflow changes, including eligibility verification and payment postings
Keep updated on state/federal billing requirements and changes for various insurance types
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous billing experience preferred
Ability to complete work within authorized timeframes to meet departmental standards
Understanding of billing procedures and ability to resolve technical denials
Proficiency in processing and troubleshooting claims
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a healthcare billing environment
Knowledge of insurance types, including Medicare and Medicaid
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with electronic claim submission processes
