
Development and Donor Relations Manager

The Development & Donor Relations Manager is responsible for supporting the fundraising and donor engagement efforts of The Arc of Monmouth. This position works under the direction of the Director of Development and Marketing and assists with donor relations, fundraising campaigns, events, grant support, and development operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in support of the organization’s mission to serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Monmouth County.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support relationships with individual donors, sponsors, and community partners
Coordinate donor stewardship activities, including gift acknowledgements, donor communications and impact updates.
Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, appeals, and special initiatives
Support fundraising and community event logistics, including timelines, vendors, and follow-up
Assist with grant research, proposal preparation, and reporting
Maintain accurate donor and gift records within the donor database
Prepare routine fundraising and donor reports
Provide administrative and operational support to the Development Department
Collaborate with internal departments to support fundraising and donor engagement activities
Ability to lift and carry materials related to events as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising, development, or donor relations experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Experience with donor databases/CRMs preferred.
HOURS:
40 hours per week, occasional evening and weekend work required for events.
