Our client is seeking a
Creative Strategist
to sit at the center of their creative team, translating client business goals into human-centered brand and experience strategies that power unforgettable experiential marketing programs and events. This role leads the
strategic foundation of new business pitches and active programs , ensuring every creative idea is rooted in insight, audience truth, and measurable outcomes. You'll apply Human-Centered Design and Design Thinking principles to connect brand, audience, and business objectives - shaping the "why" behind the work before execution begins. If you love building strategy decks, facilitating workshops, mapping journeys, and confidently presenting big ideas that win rooms (and business), this role is for you. Lead strategic discovery for new business and client programs, translating goals into clear insights and guardrails
Develop audience personas, journey maps, messaging frameworks, and experience blueprints
Create compelling creative briefs, strategy decks, and pitch narratives that anchor all creative work
Facilitate kickoff workshops, stakeholder interviews, brainstorms, and alignment sessions
Partner closely with Accounts, Creative, and Production to ensure strategy carries through execution
Serve as a lead presenter for high-stakes pitches and client reviews
Define success frameworks and KPIs tied to real business and experience outcomes
Mentor teammates on strategic thinking, storytelling, and presentation best practices
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in
creative strategy, brand strategy, or experiential marketing strategy , ideally within an agency environment
Strong expertise in
Human-Centered Design / Design Thinking methodologies
Exceptional storytelling and deck-building skills (Google Slides, Keynote, PowerPoint)
Experience developing personas, journey maps, and strategic frameworks for live or experiential programs
Confident, persuasive presenter with experience leading pitches and client-facing strategy conversations
Ability to synthesize research and complexity into clear, actionable insights
Event or experiential marketing background a plus (not required)
Mindset: Human-centered and insight-driven
Strategic rigor with creative intuition
Collaborative and facilitative
Curious, adaptable, and comfortable moving between big-picture strategy and hands-on deck writing
This is a
full-time, onsite/hybrid position based in Portland, Oregon . The salary for this role ranges from
$130,000-$150,000 annually , depending on experience and alignment with internal leveling. This position is eligible for benefits including 401(k), health coverage, and additional employee benefits.
