Beyer Blinder Belle, an award-winning architecture firm with offices in New York City, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Miami, seeks a highly motivated Junior Designer to join its Boston office. This team works with institutional and civic clients in the Northeast in all project stages, from programming and design to construction.

Along with the skills and experience listed below, our ideal candidate is excited about invigorating high-profile historic buildings through architectural design, brings a strong design sensibility with technical grounding, and actively seeks to develop innovative design concepts and work collaboratively to solve problems.

In addition to working locally with a tight-knit group of architects at many stages of career development, new hires will collaborate virtually with BBB design professionals in the New York, Miami, and Washington, D.C., offices. All BBB employees, including new hires, are eligible to participate in staff initiatives that enhance professional skills, foster connections outside the realm of project work, and promote the values of environmental and social well-being.

Required Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

2+ years of professional experience in architecture and on the path to licensure

Professional degree in architecture

Strong Revit proficiency required, as well as familiarity with graphics and presentation applications, is desirable

Familiarity with working in existing buildings is a strong plus

Collaborate on and contribute to project design development, documentation, and Construction Administration

Responsible for daily design, programming, and/or technical development of a project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client's needs

Independently evaluate, select, and apply architectural solutions for specified assignments with support and direction from a Senior Architect or above

Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and designs and produces materials to convey those concepts to the team, the client, and the contractor

Able to communicate and present design issues and solutions internally

Able to manage deliverable production and schedules independently for smaller projects and with senior assistance for larger projects

Able to manage tasks on more than one project at a time

Compensation BBB offers fair and equitable pay. Salary starting at $63,000 per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Employees may also receive an annual performance-based bonus and salary increases.
