Overview
The Health and Wellness Director oversees the comprehensive care services provided to residents. This leadership role ensures high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements, influencing the quality of life of residents through meticulous oversight and proactive health management.
Role Expectations
Overall management of quality care and services to all residents.
Liaison between resident, family, physician, and other health care providers regarding health care issues.
Ensure resident care meets personal, physical, and cognitive needs while maximizing independence, choice, and opportunities for social interaction.
Maintain current knowledge of OSHA and state regulations; routinely monitor community compliance with regulations related to resident care.
Organize and staff the Resident Services Department effectively and efficiently.
Monitor outcomes of Resident Services activities, evaluate staff performance, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage budgeted resources.
Direct infection control practices to promote a healthy environment and ensure training is met.
Direct staff to provide care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
Ensure staffing levels and schedules meet requirements; lead interviewing and all hiring activities for direct reports including onboarding and performance reviews.
Educate team members on incident reporting, particularly falls, ensuring reports are thorough and timely.
Role Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current, unencumbered RN license.
Current CPR Certification.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass State and Company background/drug screens.
Assisted living experience preferred.
Working knowledge of State Regulations.
