Airgas is hiring a Local CDL Driver in Topeka, KS. The Local CDL B Delivery Driver is the crucial link between Airgas and our valued customers. This role involves driving, delivering compressed gas cylinders and related products, and being part of a professional and supportive team to ensure customers receive the essential gases and supplies they need to keep their businesses running.

What You'll Do

Be a Customer Ambassador: primary point of contact for customers, driving an established route to deliver compressed gas cylinders and related products. Handle customer orders, resolve service complaints, and build strong relationships.

Safety and Efficiency: safely load, transport, and unload products from company-provided straight or box truck, adhering to all DOT and company regulations.

Maintain Your Vehicle: perform routine maintenance checks and keep your truck clean, ensuring it is ready for your daily route.

Physical Demands: this role requires a high degree of physical capability and stamina to safely handle and deliver products, routinely lifting 25-75 lbs and up to 125+ lbs with aid of material handling equipment. You will frequently bend and drive for up to 8 hours a day with hazardous cargo.

What You'll Bring

Experience: At least one full year of Class A or B CDL driving experience verifiable under DOT requirements in the past 5 years, or a recent graduate from an accredited driving school. Exceptional customer service skills and a proactive attitude are a plus.

Endorsements: Class A or B CDL with a Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain Hazmat upon contingent offer.

Clean Record: A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is essential and at least 21 years of age.

Physical Demands: this role requires a high degree of physical capability and stamina to safely handle and deliver products, routinely lifting 25-75 lbs and up to 125+ lbs with aid of material handling equipment. You will frequently bend, walk, stand and drive for up to 8 hours a day with hazardous cargo.

Skills: ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and read/comprehend material safety data sheets.
