Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Agency Underwriter based in Atlanta, GA. The Agency Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating loan applications and conducting detailed underwriting for commercial and residential real estate transactions. Tasks include analyzing financial documents, market data, and property appraisals, preparing clear and thorough credit memos, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The role requires staying updated on industry guidelines and trends to provide insightful recommendations and support business decisions. Qualifications
Strong proficiency in agency loan underwriting (strong preference for Affordable experience (MAH/TAH) Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with stakeholders (internal and external) Ability to multi-task several underwriting assignments and manage an active pipeline Potential to become a Team Lead and build out a team of underwriters/analysts to support specific client relationships This role provides a competitive base salary along with a quarterly bonus structure based on production and a full benefits package.
