Title: Associate Director, Customer Data Advanced Analytics Location: Concord, MA/ Hybrid Reporting to: Executive Director of VP, Analytics, Insights, Customer Operations What You’ll Do
Customer and Commercial Analytics
— Translate large and complex data sets into actionable business insights, using specialty pharmacy data, claims, EMR, CRM, and third‑party sources. Analyze the effectiveness of field force engagement strategies and commercial initiatives; provide recommendations for optimization. Lead the development of advanced customer segmentation, targeting, and profiling strategies across HCPs, institutions, and payers. Translate customer trends into sales and revenue forecasts to address assumptions that drive product sales and brand forecasts. Lead brand reporting and analytics. Data Strategy and Execution
— Partner with cross‑functional teams (Commercial, Market Access, Patient Services, IT, and Data Engineering) to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and alignment with business objectives. Define requirements and partner with vendors or internal IT teams to enhance data pipelines, dashboards, and self‑service analytics tools. Ensure analytical rigor in KPI tracking, reporting, and business performance reviews. Rare Disease Market Understanding
— Understand the unique dynamics of rare disease markets, including small patient populations, diagnostic challenges, and specialized distribution models. Develop and maintain models to support forecasts, accuracy assumptions, patient funnel analysis, and therapy uptake patterns. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
— Serve as a trusted analytics partner to senior commercial leadership, brand teams, field operations, data management, and market research. Present findings and recommendations to leadership and cross‑functional teams in a clear and impactful manner. Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure data use aligns with regulatory standards. Who You Are
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics); advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) preferred 8+ years of experience in data analytics, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry Deep expertise in healthcare data sources such as IQVIA, Symphony, specialty pharmacy distribution data, claims, EMR, and lab data Proficient in SQL, Python, and R, with strong skills in data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI Familiar with CRM platforms such as Veeva and Salesforce, and their role in optimizing field force effectiveness Strong problem-solving abilities and business acumen, with a talent for communicating complex data insights to non‑technical stakeholders Comfortable working in fast-paced, data‑driven environments and contributing to strategic initiatives across cross‑functional teams Preferred Skills
Experience in rare disease or specialty markets is a strong plus
