The ideal candidate will handle complex client relationships with large advisors as you actively pursue opportunities to improve their level of efficiency and profitability, focusing on growth and retention. As a Relationship Manager, you will effectively coordinate with Service, Marketing, Business Consulting, and other key partners across the organization to proactively anticipate client needs and resolve situations as they occur. You will influence positive change in their organizations to support their evolving needs, as well as present policy changes, negotiate pricing, conduct business reviews, and organize client events. As the main point of contact for your assigned clients, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining meaningful relationships, positively representing Schwab’s brand and values.

Responsibilities

Handle complex client relationships with large advisors and pursue opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability, focusing on growth and retention.

Coordinate with Service, Marketing, Business Consulting, and other key partners across the organization to anticipate client needs and resolve situations.

Influence positive change in client organizations to support evolving needs; present policy changes, negotiate pricing, conduct business reviews, and organize client events.

Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients; develop and maintain meaningful relationships and positively represent Schwab’s brand and values.

Demonstrate entrepreneurial initiative with excellent client service and the ability to anticipate and resolve problems independently.

Exhibit superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with consultative selling/relationship management acumen.

Qualifications

Must have demonstrated expertise in all aspects of the RIA industry including technology, sales, operations, practice management, compliance, competition, and fee structures.

In-depth knowledge of Advisor Services products, operating system, and services preferred or demonstrated transferable brokerage industry knowledge and/or the ability to learn the products and services with a limited learning curve.

Must have demonstrated ability to negotiate, cold call, troubleshoot, relate to people of all levels, and think on their feet.

Proven record of achieving/exceeding sales goals with a history of building strong business relationships and internal partnerships.

A valid and active FINRA Series 7 and 63 license required.

A minimum of 5 years experience within the financial services industry.

A minimum of 3 years of B2B sales/consulting experience managing complex relationships within financial services industry.

Candidates will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work related experience.

Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with navigating across large organizations on behalf of clients.

Strong client focus and a track record of exceeding client expectations.

Substantial knowledge of the RIA industry, including competitors’ offerings, service structure, and business development approach.

Ability to travel consistently to meet with clients in the field.

Work location The opportunity offers fully remote work with up to 50% travel. Preference is for a candidate to be located within the Phoenix, Denver, Orlando, and Austin locations.
