Key Accountabilities This role will support the strategic goals and day-to-day operations of the Events team. The candidate will be involved in the development, planning, and execution of all Brookfield led events, both in person and virtual, and the research and management of all external conferences in which Brookfield participates. The role requires initiative and close collaboration with the global team, with opportunities for career development in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, with strong time management, leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Brookfield Hosted Events

Support coordination of Brookfield hosted events

Assist with logistics including venue and vendor research, catering, support materials, rooming lists, AV, setup and on-site support as needed

Create and manage event invitations on Cvent, run registration reports as needed

Compile pre- and post-event documents (briefing memos, post-mortems)

Brookfield External Events

Support regional Events and Marketing head on annual conference strategy

Manage external conferences database

Manage participation logistics and sponsorship coordination (speaker registration & prep calls, rooming lists, client dinners/receptions)

Post-event reconciliation (survey, budgets, post-event reports)

Investor Day and Investor Conference

Support the Events team to successfully execute three flagship conferences for ~500 clients per event

Identify event material needs and place orders with vendors (venue signage, catering orders, name badges, branded items, iPads, decor)

Assist in researching additional venue locations for receptions and dinners and coordinate logistics (menus, transportation, sourcing materials, seating arrangements)

Reserve hotel room blocks and manage guest room lists and logistics

Assist with onsite setup and logistics

Assist with invitations

Compile pre- and post-event documents (briefing memos, post-mortems)

Candidate Profile

A degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Events, or related field or equivalent work experience

3-5 years’ professional experience

Meticulous attention to detail and a strong passion for planning events

Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, multi-task and prioritize

Organized, proactive and self-motivated individual

Ability to stay calm and problem solve quickly under high-pressure moments

Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to deal effectively at all levels within the organization

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Knowledge of event management software (Cvent) required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to stay focused, efficient, and effective in managing multiple priorities

Collaborative and team player

Overtime as needed

Salary: $105,000 - $120,000

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
