Job Description Territory Field Sales Representative (Northern California)

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Implements strategies set by leadership to drive new product introductions, promotional programs, and training in the territory.

Selling 3M products including

Abrasives, Tapes, Masking Systems and Safety.

Supports the retailer/distributor along with the end-user (home improvement trades) to provide solutions to improve job-site efficiencies and training with our portfolios.

Presenting relevant information and products to customers in face-to-face presentations as well as phone calls or e-mails

Demonstrating to customers how to use 3M products and how they will add value to their company.

Willingness to be on-call to support your customers need in your geography.

Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Master’s degree in business administration from an accredited institution

Three (3) years of territory sales in a private, public, government or military environment

Skills include presentation skills across many types of customers and end-users, strong data analytics and negotiation skills.

Bi-Lingual preferred; English/Spanish

Experience translating customer needs into creative solutions.

Ability and willingness to prioritize multiple customers, self-motivate, and be held accountable for setting and meeting goals.

Work location

Northern California (Bay Area) is the base market and covers Northern California, Southern Oregon, Reno and Boise

Travel May include up to 50% domestic

Applicable to US Applicants Only The expected compensation range for this position is $80,810 - $98,767, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
