Tax Manager or Director
to join our growing
Private Client Services
practice. This individual plays a key leadership role in delivering comprehensive tax advisory and compliance services to high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses. Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex individual, fiduciary, and closely held business tax engagements. Advise clients on wealth transfer strategies, estate and gift planning, and multi-generational tax issues. Oversee and review the work of managers and staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality client service. Serve as a trusted advisor, proactively identifying planning opportunities and risk areas. Collaborate with firm leadership to develop and grow client relationships and expand service offerings. Participate in recruiting, mentoring, and professional development initiatives within the tax team. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required. Active CPA license or EA certification required. MST, JD, or LLM in Taxation a plus. 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals, family offices, or private client services. Strong technical expertise in individual, trust, estate, and gift taxation. Proficient with MS Office Suite and tax research platforms (e.g., CCH, BNA, RIA). Knowledge of ProSystems FX preferred. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor team members. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with executive presence. Performing, documenting, summarizing, and reviewing research conclusions regarding specific tax issues. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and contribute to firm growth. Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 - $150,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
