
smartdept. Inc. is seeking a part time Art Director for a client in Ada, MI, to support creative initiatives across multiple global brands.
This role partners closely with internal teams and external agency partners to ensure all creative work aligns with brand standards and delivers a cohesive, high-quality customer experience.The Art Director will flex across the full creative lifecycle—from contributing to brand and campaign strategy to overseeing final execution. This role supports a wide range of initiatives, including product brands, go-to-market campaigns, education and training materials, sales enablement, and recognition programs. By connecting creative efforts across teams and channels, this role helps elevate brand impact and maximize the return on creative investment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a brand steward by maintaining and enforcing brand standards across all creative deliverables
Contribute to creative ideation, concept development, and execution across campaigns and touchpoints
Collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing, education, sales, and recognition teams
Partner with external creative agencies to ensure alignment with brand strategy and creative objectives
Help connect creative efforts across channels to support a seamless and engaging customer experience
Provide strategic creative input during brand and campaign planning discussions
Drive creative solutions that improve engagement, strengthen brand equity, and support business goals
Qualifications
7–10 years of experience in marketing or communications, ideally within an internal corporate creative team
Strong expertise in brand systems, visual identity, and multi-channel creative execution
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere), Figma, and presentation tools such as PowerPoint or Keynote
Ability to work across the full creative process, from strategy through production
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners
Experience managing and partnering with external creative agencies is a plus
