Description Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and designing visually compelling designs that effectively communicate property messages, enhance brand identity, and support business and marketing objectives across all platforms. This role collaborates closely with department representatives to create, edit, and maintain a wide range of marketing and promotional materials. Deliverables may include, but are not limited to, dining menus, posters, handouts, digital advertisements, direct mail, billboards, and signage. The Graphic Designer plays a key role in promoting Thunder Valley Casino Resort and its portfolio of sub-brands through consistent, high-quality visual communication. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions

Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” companywide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.

Design graphics for print and digital channels while maintaining brand consistency across all visual collateral.

Manipulate graphics to predetermined specifications to solve visual problems.

Utilize Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe InDesign CC, and Adobe Illustrator CC.

Successfully manage concurrent projects and deadlines while working effectively in a changing environment with minimal to moderate supervision.

Coordinate and collaborate with other members of the Marketing Division, as well as other departments to ensure all marketing collateral are properly reviewed and approved.

Communicate with departments and property stakeholders to ensure all jobs are completed in a high quality, cost effective, and timely manner.

Revise designs and incorporate feedback efficiently.

Prepare final files for print or digital production, and maintain quality standards in a timely manner.

Operate and maintain a large-format printer to produce high quality signage with occasional print-to-substrate mounting.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or equivalent related discipline.

Three (3) years of experience working as a Graphic Designer in a professional capacity, preferably with a marketing or in-house creative agency.

Experience in graphic design for marketing and advertising preferred.

Computer proficiency with the latest versions so Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is required.

Must possess excellent communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with Guests, Team Members, and Management.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements

Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.

Manual dexterity to use job related equipment.

Must be able to lift 15 lbs.

Ability to view a computer monitor for duration of shift.

Must be able to sit for the prolonged time periods.
