Overview Crowd Surf is a digital marketing agency that was founded in 2007. This is a hybrid position in the New York City area. You must be able to work and communicate efficiently in a remote environment with a reliable internet connection and other tools for video meetings, calls, etc. on a daily basis. There will be some on-site responsibilities with clients, including content capture, content creation and artist support in various locations, and there will also be some in-person team meetings at various work locations.

Understanding that creative/management-centric roles in the music business are not 9am-5pm; there may be late nights and weekend hours from time to time.

Excellent work ethic and pride in delivering quality work.

Love for pop culture and the internet; you identify trends early.

Proficient with video edits and graphic designs.

Attention to detail and strong grammar; able to write and correct social media copy and verify links and other tasks before client review.

Comfortable working on site, in an office environment, and/or remotely.

Comfortable with using a computer and/or iPhone for the duration of the workday.

Proactive, self-starter attitude; stays ahead of tasks.

Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills using Apple products.

High-speed internet connection required due to video conferencing and daily operations.

Role Responsibilities The Digital Marketing Assistant reports directly to the Marketing Manager and is responsible for executing tasks to help accomplish clients’ goals. We are a fast-paced creative digital agency, so the ideal candidate will live and breathe digital marketing with a desire to work in the music industry. Previous social media marketing and community management experience is necessary. Passion for copywriting and editing is a must. You will help create, edit and post content, and keep a pulse on clients’ fans to tailor content that is innovative, bold and on-brand.

Daily digital maintenance on artist properties.

Creative and grammatically flawless copywriting for client digital properties.

Work directly with artists and their teams to create compelling content for online properties.

Generate out-of-the-box ideas and opportunities for clients, including digital trends, collaborations, on-site events and content creation.

Monitor comments and sentiment for clients.

Provide weekly and monthly detailed reports for clients.

Data entry/content posting (e.g., tour dates, uploading photos, content).

Rollout of approved, engaging content, optimized for each platform.

Develop and execute online promotions.

Assist with digital marketing concepts and overall digital strategy.

Perform other tasks that support our clients.

Offering

Full-time role, based on 40 hours per week (potential for extended hours during events). Compensation for this entry-level role is $16.50 to $18.50 hourly. Pay varies based on factors including qualifications, experience, skills, education, and location.
