We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to create shop drawings for custom commercial kitchen equipment, including floor plans, elevations, and any other specifications provided. The role requires solid modeling skills, with a background in sheet metal being a plus.
Responsibilities
Design custom stainless steel equipment that meets specific customer and industry requirements.
Manage large assemblies consisting of sheet metal, parts, sub‑assemblies, hardware, and imported files.
Collaborate with other Design Engineers to establish better modeling skills, provide software training, and suggest improvements.
Produce shop drawings for custom equipment, including detailed floor plans, elevations, and specifications.
Draft complex parts and assemblies with mechanical design and integration skills.
Handle large CAD assemblies and associated drawings.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for each product and project.
Utilize Siemens SolidEdge for solid 3D modeling of sheet metal.
Design CAD models based on customer specifications and order sheets.
Work with project managers to deliver drafts for customer review.
Procure products, create DXF drawings for laser cutting and bending, and draft electrical drawings.
Troubleshoot and adapt model files from the CAD library to meet customer specifications.
Apply knowledge of GD&T for manufacturing sheet metal.
Proficiency in design using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or SolidEdge.
Experience with sheet metal design and CAD.
Ability to interpret and manipulate existing drawings.
Strong understanding of GD&T for manufacturing sheet metal.
Qualifications

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00/hr.
