Overview
At Norton Sports and Leisure Promotions CIC, the Board of Directors provides governance for the CIC and oversees all community and commercial activity. The aims and objectives are set out in the governing document and strategic plan, and the Board ensures operational activities align with the strategy. Norton Sports and Leisure Promotions CIC aims to operate the Moline Cross community clubhouse as an active social hub for the local community, generating income to fund the sporting, recreational and social activities of the Charity. The Board fosters close cooperation with the senior management team and values the contribution that each Director brings to the organisation.
Responsibilities
Ensuring that the CIC complies with its governing document, company law and other relevant legislation or regulations
Ensuring that the CIC pursues its objects as defined in its governing document
Ensuring the CIC uses its resources in pursuance of its objects
Contributing actively to the Board's role in giving firm strategic direction to the CIC, setting overall policy, defining goals and targets, and evaluating performance against agreed targets
Safeguarding the good name and values of the CIC
Qualifications and skills
Strategic vision
Good, independent judgement
Ability to think creatively
Willingness to speak their mind
