About being our Urban Designer/Landscape Architect The award winning, passionate, talented planning and design team is looking for an
Urban Designer/ Landscape Architect
to work full time on a variety of major landscape, urban, and land planning projects across the Western US. Work includes site/open space design, master planned communities, park designs, development of large and small-scale plans, entitlements, branding, urban developments, infographics and more. Our projects include mixed-use and master planned communities; commercial developments, business parks, and data centers; small and station area plans; transit-oriented developments and mobility hubs; parks, open spaces, and resorts; due diligence and zoning ordinances; GIS data creation and manipulation; and supportive illustrative graphics.
Responsibility Highlights for our Urban Designer/Landscape Architect
Designing conceptual land planning, planting, and irrigation plans for residential, commercial, office, industrial, and municipal projects from concept through construction documents in CAD
Preparing planning and entitlement documents for a variety of design projects
Collaborating directly with internal and external clients
Creating illustrative exhibits including 3D models, plan review, and sketches
Producing estimates and material needs for projects
Minimum Qualifications to be our Urban Designer/Landscape Architect
Bachelor's degree in urban design, landscape architecture, or related field (ex - Planning, Environmental Planning)
1+ year of experience in urban design planning and/or landscape architecture
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to network with clients and build relationships
Knowledge of Planning and Zoning ordinances, codes, and processes
Self-motivated with ability to work efficiently/accurately under pressure
Strong skills across a wide range of productivity and design programs (AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite)
Preferred Qualifications for our Urban Designer/ Landscape Architect
Basic knowledge of placemaking and branding design
Basic knowledge of planting design and irrigation systems
Skills in advanced programs such as LandFX, SketchUp (or equivalent 3D modeling program), ArcGIS Pro, Civil3D
Skills in hand drawings/renderings
