This position is posted on a 12 month limited term basis with the possibility of being extended up to 24 months or becoming permanent. Attention all current and aspiring Firefighters! Operate and maintain fire department equipment under the supervision of the Fire Chief and the Fire Captain, CI. Recharge fire extinguishers; conduct fire drills; investigate fires; report fire safety violations; and train staff in fire safety and related topics. Supervise and train incarcerated people in fire prevention and suppression and general housekeeping of the fire station; maintain incarcerated firefighter records and evaluate performance. Write reports, make recommendations for correction of deficiencies, maintain inspection logs, and attend staff meetings and training as necessary. Minimum Requirements
