Join us in rebuilding B2B retail and ending waste! smatch’s mission is to address ecological issues of excess stock mismanagement and change the course of the retail industry. By joining our B2B Retail Marketplace team as (Senior) Sales and Relationships Manager, you will create a real and lasting impact for the environment while working with the founders to unlock the $3tr retail excess stock market and experience a scaling venture from day 1.
About The Role As (Senior) Sales and Relationships Manager, you’ll be the key link between smatch and the sport & outdoor retail world. You’ll use your industry knowledge and network to identify new partners, close deals, and build long-term relationships with retailers and wholesalers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with sport & outdoor retailers
Sell attractive deals and manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
Identify and onboard new partners (retailers, outlet chains, B2C platforms, wholesalers)
Leverage your personal network to expand smatch’s buyer and supplier base
Negotiate and manage accounts to ensure recurring business and customer satisfaction
Collaborate closely with internal teams and share industry insights
Visit clients regularly and represent smatch in meetings and negotiations
Use CRM (Pipedrive) and Excel/Google Sheets for pipeline and performance tracking
About You
3 - 15 years of experience in sales, key account management, or business development in the sport or outdoor industry
Strong network of small and mid-sized sport retailers
Proven track record of building lasting relationships with retail decision-makers
Entrepreneurial mindset and high drive for results
Fluent in German or another key market language (Italian, French, or Spanish), depending on your retailer network. Good English skills required for internal communication.
Confident user of CRM tools and Excel/Google Sheets
Nice to have
Network beyond DACH (e.g. France, Italy, Spain)
Contacts in lifestyle or sneaker segments
Understanding of merchandise/category management
