Henderson Engineers is looking to hire a Senior Product Designer to join their Technology group. The Senior Product Designer shapes and optimizes user experiences across a range of internally built software solutions, focusing primarily on web applications but extending to other digital products across the organization. This role translates user needs and technical requirements into usable, intuitive, and scalable designs that support critical business processes, enhance usability, meet accessibility standards and align with relevant aspects of the Henderson brand. The designer leads the development and management of a cohesive design language to ensure consistency and quality across platforms. This position manages the end-to-end design process—from research and prototyping to high‑fidelity design and design system evolution—while setting UX direction, advocating for design quality, and collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and subject matter experts.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field required, with 7+ years of experience in UI/UX design for complex web applications or digital products, or 9+ years of experience without a bachelor’s degree.

Demonstrated ability to design for a range of internal-facing tools and systems, not just customer-facing applications.

Portfolio shows strong examples of interaction design, visual design, and UX problem-solving.

Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, rapid prototyping tools) and the ability to deliver detailed, developer‑ready design specifications.

Familiarity with front-end development processes and technologies (React experience preferred), ensuring smooth designer-developer collaboration.

Understanding of accessibility best practices and how to apply them across design work.

Graphic design proficiency or strong interest in visual design principles is a plus, particularly when applied to interface aesthetics, layout, and design systems.

Excellent communication and documentation skills for articulating design rationale and ensuring alignment across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with design for 2D or 3D environments (such as BIM viewers or CAD interfaces) is a plus.
