that focus on campus-wide diversity initiatives to create a welcoming campus climate.* Works closely with SDRPA leadership for grading, maintaining the Academy Learning Management System, and the administration of student learning outcomes assessment.* Works with the Academy Commander to oversee the management and security of all tests and the testing bank, ensuring it is current and accurate.* Assists the Academy Commander in ensuring regulatory compliance with the Nevada Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.* Ensures the curriculum is aligned to CSN Criminal Justice academic standards and course objective requirements.* As a subject matter expert, assists the Academy Commander in assessing effective physical learning environments for students.* Provides program analysis and participates in strategic and long-range instructional planning.* Administers student learning assessment processes in accordance with CSN policy and practice.* Formulates and reviews academic evaluation of teaching faculty at the SDRPA.* Reviews and advises the Academy Commander and CSN Department Chair on the design and delivery of advanced training modules for law enforcement techniques, legal standards, ethics, and community relations.* Reviews and communicates new developments and innovations in Public Safety Programs.* Conducts instructional needs assessments as appropriate.

Ensures training programs are up to date with current best practices, technological advancements, and legal requirements.* Assures that all programs, services and functions comply with federal, state and local codes, rules, regulations, ordinances and CSN policies and procedures.

Ensure all training is conducted in an appropriate and safe manner.* Assists the Academy Commander’s assignment of faculty and assistants to courses, monitors schedules and workload for accuracy throughout the semester, and assures accurate and timely attendance reporting for all the Southern Desert Regional Academy courses.* Prepares and manages academy reports, documentation, and records related to training activities and trainee performance.* Participates in strategic planning and development of academy goals and objectives.* Provides input in the development and administration of the SDRPA program annual budget process.* Perform other duties as assigned or required.* Master’s degree in criminal justice, Criminology, JD, or other directly related fields from a regionally accredited college or university.* Five years of demonstrated full-time occupational experience in the criminal justice profession (law enforcement, courts, or corrections.* A minimum of two years full-time equivalent to CRJ teaching experience in a college level educational or training setting.* Demonstrated experience in developing curriculum, assessment plans, formative and summative assessments, assessment instruments, conducting analysis of course and program assessment.* Knowledge of Nevada P.O.S.T. regulations and college accreditation standards including academy course sequencing, mandates, and minimum requirements.* Knowledge of modern law enforcement training philosophies and instructional requirements.* Knowledge of performance monitoring and evaluation techniques.* Knowledge of budget planning, development, and supervision.* Knowledge of lesson plan development and training program evaluation.* Maintains physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.* Employment is contingent upon a successful criminal background check.* Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).* PhD in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or public administration related field from a regionally accredited college or university.* Three years of supervision and management responsibility with a Public Safety agency.* Demonstrated teaching experience in a law enforcement academy.* Resume/CV* Cover Letter* Contact information for three professional references (Name, email and phone number)* Unofficial Academic Transcripts (Applicants who have earned their degrees outside of the United States must have their educational transcripts evaluated by an approved evaluator if their college or university is not listed in the most recent edition of the Higher Education Directory, published by Higher Education Publications, Inc.
